Whenever you feel angry, sad, happy, resentful, jealous or any other emotion you only feel it for 90 seconds without having to make a decision as to whether you want to continue to feel it. So if you feel an emotion that you don't like , you know you will feel it for 90 seconds then after that make a choice to feel  differently and take action. Go to the movies, read a great book, read a joke, ring a friend ( but don't start talking about the bad feeling)  - do something that distracts your mind so that you can then think happy thoughts. After just 90 seconds it is your choice.
